- Go to taxact.com and click on Sign in or go directly to https://www.taxact.com/auth/
- Click on Forgot Username or Password.
- Tax Act can help you reset your password if you know your username, email address or phone number. Usernames are retrieved by phone number or email address.
- You will receive the verification code by text if you search by your phone number. Searches by username and email receive the code by email only.
- After providing how you'd like to receive the code, click on Send Verification Code and enter it once you receive it.
- If you searched based on your phone number or email address, you will see a list of usernames associated with them. A search based on username will immediately prompt you to change your password.
